Everyone said Oregon was flat and forgettable. But from swimming in a volcano to cowboy camping under meteor showers, this stretch of the PCT blew me away.

I kicked off our Fisherman’s Trail hike in Portugal with friends, pastries, and salty ocean air. From Porto Covo to Milfontes, Day 1 brought barefoot beach walks, gooseneck barnacles, unexpected wind, and a lot of joy.

After thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and Colorado Trail, I was ready for something different: rugged coastal views, fresh seafood, and a bed every night.
