WEEK 1: YOGA FOR LOWER BACK

Starting off strong with the lower back! This area is an essential area for hikers that supports stability, balance, and movement on trail. 

WEEK 2: YOGA FOR HIPS & HAMSTRINGS

This week's class focuses on two key areas - hips & hamstrings. By targeting these muscles, you'll improve flexibility, strengthen your lower body, and support smoother, more balanced movements on the trail. 

WEEK 3: YOGA FOR SHOULDERS

Carrying a pack for long hours can strain your upper body, leading to tight shoulders and stiffness in the spine. This class will help improve flexibility and mobility

WEEK 4: YOGA FOR CORE 

Let's build core strength and stability! In this class, you'll notice how activating your core in each pose creates strength and support throughout your entire body.

WEEK 5: YOGA FOR MOBILITY & BALANCE

This week, we're tuning things up with a 50-minute flow designed to build strength, mobility, and balance! 

WEEK 6: YIN YOGA FOR DEEP STRETCH & RECOVERY

This final class will help you slow down, release tension, and recovery deeply targeting the connective tissue, joints, and fascia.

Hi, I'm Chickpea!

YOUR MINDSET COACH WITH REAL TRAIL EXPERIENCE

I'm a certified yoga instructor with over 5 years of teaching experience and a passionate thru-hiker who’s conquered trails like the Pacific Crest Trail and the Colorado Trail. My yoga journey began as a way to strengthen my body and mind for the demands of long-distance hiking, and it quickly became a transformative practice that helped me cultivate resilience, flexibility, and mindfulness—both on and off the trail.

 

WITHOUT THESE TOOLS, I WOULD NOT HAVE MADE IT THROUGH THE PCT MYSELF

 

Through my yoga practice, I’ve not only prevented injuries and recovered faster from grueling hiking days, but I’ve also developed the mental clarity and presence needed to navigate the challenges of long-distance adventures.

 

Now, I specialize in guiding fellow hikers to tap into the power of yoga to prepare their bodies, calm their minds, and feel confident tackling their own trails—whether it’s their first multi-day hike or the adventure of a lifetime.

1. What if I'm new to yoga?

No problem! This program is designed for all levels, even if it's your first yoga experience.

2. What yoga styles do you teach?

I offer restorative classes. This includes yin restorative, yin yoga, and sound healing. These styles are gentle and slow and provide you the opportunity to take time for yourself. Shifting your awareness from the external to internal. Tuning into yourself and checking in. 

3.Do I need special equipment? 

A yoga mat, a quiet space, and comfortable clothing is all you need to get started!

4. How long are the classes?

Each class is 30-45 minutes - short enough to fit into your schedule but long enough to make an impact!

5. What happens after the 6 weeks?

You'll have access to all six classes for three months, giving you plenty of time to revisit and perfect each practice.
